Sonic Adventure 2

Method 1: Original Hardware

Due to being one of the most popular Sonic games out there, Sonic Adventure 2 has been released on multiple platforms, meaning there are multiple official ways to play the game.

  1. Steam: Easily the most accessible and cheapest way to play the game. This game also comes with the extra features that came with the Director's Cut release as well as a dlc. Additionally, since this is a release of the game for the PC, this game can easily be modded in many ways. Visit the Steam Store
  2. Xbox 360: This game was released on the Xbox 360 and is backward compatible with the Xbox One and Xbox Series x. Just like the Steam version, it also comes with SA2 Battle as DLC. Visit the Xbox Store
  3. Playstation 3: This game was also released on the Playstation 3. However, it is unfortunatly not backwards compatible with the Playstation 4 and 5.
  4. Gamecube: Additionally, this game was released on the Nintendo Gamecube as well and can be played on a Nintendo Wii if you have a Gamecube controller and memory card. Additionally, this release of the game would be your go-to if you choose to emulate it on Dolphin Emulator.
  5. Sega Dreamcast: The original console that Sonic Adventure 2 was released on. Unfortunately, it does not include the features that SA2 Battle has, however you can still play 90% of this game through the Dreamcast.
