Sonic Heroes
Method 1: Original Hardware
Sonic Heroes was released on multiple platforms, which means there are a couple of different methods of playing this game if you wanted to play it officially.
- Xbox: This game was released on the original Xbox and is backward compatible with the Xbox 360. However, unfortunately, this game cannot be played on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
- Playstation 2: This game was also released on the Playstation 2. It is backwards compatible with early releases of the Playstation 3, but is not playable on Playstation 4 and 5.
- Gamecube: Additionally, this game was released on the Nintendo Gamecube as well and can be played on a Nintendo Wii if you have a Gamecube controller and memory card. Additionally, this release of the game would be your go-to if you choose to emulate it on Dolphin Emulator.
- PC: Finally, Sega released a CD-Rom release for Sonic Heroes, which allowed people to play the game on their computers. Unfortunately, the only way to get the PC version through official means is by getting the CD off of auction sites like Ebay. Additionally, if you have a laptop, you may need to get USB DVD Player in order to use the disc. This version of the game is considered Abandonware however, meaning that you could probably find a copy of this exact version of the game floating around online. BE VERY CAREFUL DOING THIS! You may be at risk of downloading malware if you do not know what you are doing.
Method 2: Dolphin Emulator
This is probably the most accessible method of playing this game. All you need is just a copy of Sonic Heroes and a little determination and you'll be able to play this game on your computer. If you want to use Dolphin Emulator to play this game, go here to learn how to set up Dolphin Emulator.
