Method 1: Original Hardware

Shadow the Hedgehog was released on three different platforms, which means there are a couple of different methods of playing this game if you wanted to play it ofifcially.

  1. Xbox: This game was released on the original Xbox and is backward compatible with the Xbox 360. However, unfortunately, this game cannot be played on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
  2. Playstation 2: This game was also released on the Playstation 2. It is backwards compatible with early releases of the Playstation 3, but is not playable on Playstation 4 and 5.
  3. Gamecube: Finally, this game was released on the Nintendo Gamecube as well and can be played on a Nintendo Wii if you have a Gamecube controller and memory card. Additionally, this release of the game would be your go-to if you choose to emulate it on Dolphin Emulator.


Method 2: Dolphin Emulator

This is probably the most accessible method of playing this game. All you need is just a copy of Shadow the Hedgehog and a little determination and you'll be able to play this game on your computer.
